Ulverstone Christmas Parade and Mardi Gras

13 December, 2008

Held on the second Saturday in December in Reiby Street Ulverstone, the festive evening commences with a parade of Christmas floats at 5.30pm and continues with entertainment, food and Santa Clause at Anzac Park.


Hobbies Collectables and Crafts Expo

24 January, 2009

Held on the second-last weekend in January. Located in the Gawler room of the Civic Centre, Patrick Street, Ulverstone the expo is open from 9am to 4pm. Features hobbie displays, trade tables with craft and collectables. Morning and afternoon teas available.


Ulverstone Rodeo

31 January, 2009

Held on the last Saturday in January. Includes professional womens barrell race, breakaway roping, saddle and bareback bronco riding, steer wrestling and team roping.


Festival in the Park

22 February, 2009

Held on the last Sunday in February. Located at Anzac Park, Ulverstone, the festival runs from 11am to 6pm. Enjoy entertainment, water activities, live bands, good food, wine, local crafts and much more.


Forth Valley Blues Festival

14 March, 2009

Held on a Saturday in mid-March. Located at the Forth recreation ground, with entertainment from 1pm to 1am. Lots of great blues and roots bands. Bike show and stalls, hot food and bar facilities.


Doll, Bear and Miniatures Extravaganza

25 July, 2009

Held on the last weekend in July. Located at the Ulverstone Rowing Club, Kings Parade and open from 10am to 4pm. Features dolls of all shapes and sizes, toys, bears, miniatures, old lace, wooden toys, doll-houses and much more.

    1. Motor Millions Expo Come and see an expo of cars, bikes and boats, plus a Bike and Tattoo Show. Bikes will be plentiful with Harley Davidson, British and European bikes on display plus off-road and trail bikes.
    2. Taste the Harvest Food and wine festival with an agricultural and local produce theme plus entertainment. Delight your taste buds with Tasmanian food and wine and enjoy the exhibits, entertainment, tours and competitions.

    1. Forth Valley Blues Festival Twelve hours of blues music plus food, clothing and a bar, at the Forth Recreational Ground. Relax at the State's premier Blues and Roots music festival, which has developed into a well-recognised format of 12 hours of music 1:00pm to 1:00am with most acts performing two sets, one in the afternoon and one in the evening.

    1. Devonport Farmers Market - Fortnightly The Devonport Farmers Market takes place at the Devonport Showgrounds fortnightly, on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Avoid the hustle and bustle of the supermarkets and visit the market for the freshest and the best of local vegies and seasonal fruits.
